Meet Dr. Lee Mahlmann
Why Orthodontics?
Dr. Mahlmann’s greatest passions are creating amazing smiles and helping people improve their lives. That is why he chose to be an orthodontist.
He knows how a beautiful smile opens many doors in a person’s life by making them more confident and outgoing and helping their self-esteem.
Dr. Mahlmann has learned through many years of practice that it takes a team effort to achieve a goal of a great smile. He has created an environment that brings everyone together as a team with a common goal. The resulting smiles are genuinely helping patients become all they can be.
Education & Experience
Dr. Mahlmann graduated with honors from Lamar University with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He completed his dental degree at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston.
At graduation, he received two awards: one for outstanding student in crown and bridge dentistry and another for outstanding student in undergraduate orthodontics and the study of the orofacial complex.
After dental school, he entered the two-year orthodontic residency program at the UT Dental School in Houston. There, he received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and Master of Science degree.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Mahlmann enjoys being with his family, fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors. He resides with his wife, Laurie, near Richmond.
They have three children, Courtney (husband – Bryan), Colleen (husband — Brad), and Chad (wife — Jodi), and five grandchildren.
